En mayo de 2011, Neil Young condujo un Crown Victoria 1956, desde su idílica ciudad natal de Omemee (Ontario), hasta el legendario Massey Hall en Toronto, donde estuvo en completa privacidad durante las últimas 2 fechas de su gira mundial. En el camino, Young le cuenta sus recuerdos de la infancia a Jonathan Demme, director ganador del Oscar por Filadelfia y el silencio de los inocentes. Demme, colaboradora desde hace mucho tiempo y fan del músico, supo plasmar estos momentos de pura intimidad, dándoles una escala inigualable acompañándolos con extractos del concierto del artista. Actuaciones en vivo sublimes, incluyendo temas de su álbum Le Noise, los grandes clásicos "Ohio", "Hey Hey, My My", "I Believe in You", y los temas inéditos "Leia" y "You Never Call". A través de la música y las historias personales de Neil Young, Demme nos sumerge introspectiva y retrospectivamente en el corazón y el alma de un artista legendario.
