Michel, el jovial propietario del único café de una pequeña ciudad de Normandía, ve su vida patas arriba cuando su hija adolescente es asesinada. Todo el mundo lo apoya, empezando por Jeff, su mejor amigo, el sacerdote de la iglesia de enfrente del café. Pero pronto, surgen rumores que asolan el pueblo. Se destaca a Michel. De padre ideal pasa a ser el culpable ideal. ¿Resistirá la amistad entre Jeff y Michel la venganza popular?
