Juan de Dios Sierra y Velásquez o Fray Crisógono (su nombre religioso) fue un sacerdote colombiano formado en Bélgica, que llegó a las tierras de Atacama en el año 1921, allí los pobladores lo llamaron "Padre Negro" por el color de su piel. Aún después de 100 años desde su llegada, las nuevas generaciones lo recuerdan por su gran calidez humana y espíritu misionero.
