Tras la guerra del Vietnam, un veterano vuelve a casa. Vuelve un hombre desecho. En su camino, sin rumbo fijo, llega a Kansas. Allí, en un pequeño pueblo decide instalarse y reparar un tiovivo abandonado. Así ve su vida el soldado, una vida que dejo en el campo de batalla y que ahora pretende reconstruir.
