El test para detectar en sangre el VIH comienza a practicarse en un contexto en el que la comunidad gay, célebre por su creativa y disidente práctica de los placeres sexuales, se enfrenta a un nuevo estigma traducido como la ira de la naturaleza sobre cuerpos negados a “una verdad”. Alegorizados como efectos virales de la culpa, estos cuerpos pasan a ser considerados una amenaza contra la salud pública.
