El director de cine discapacitado Niko von Glasow se declara enemigo del deporte y considera los juegos paralímpicos una total incongruencia; no puede entender cómo alguien puede proponerse una meta como esta, cuando la vida cotidiana de las personas con discapacidad ya es un reto diario más que suficiente. Con estos prejuicios, von Glasow se adentra en las vidas de 4 atletas y un equipo de voleibol que compiten en los Juegos Paralímpicos de Londres 2012. Con ellos habla del deporte, pero también de la vida y de los miedos.
