A finales de 1965 los Beatles eran cada vez más reacios a realizar la ronda constante de apariciones en televisión para promover sus nuevos lanzamientos. De modo que decidieron autoproducir y grabar en video sus propios clips promocionales que podían ser distribuidos en todo el mundo a cualquier empresa en espera de la T.V. Los Beatles fueron los precursores de la revolución de MTV e instigaron la era del video promocional.
