El experto en antiterrorismo Thorold Stone ( Jeff Fahey ) intenta reconstruir su vida. Su esposa e hija se encontraban entre los millones de personas que desaparecieron en el Rapto. Durante su investigación de un movimiento de resistencia clandestino, descubre una conspiración que lleva al corazón del nuevo orden mundial. Stone se une a este grupo de cristianos rebeldes , que incluye a la periodista Helen Hannah, interpretada por la actriz Leigh Lewis; un ingeniero informático que trabaja para One Nation Earth ( Tony Nappo ); y una bella cínica ciega ( Carol Alt ). Los "Odiadores" se encuentran en una carrera contrarreloj mientras el Gobierno Mundial distribuye gafas de realidad virtual a todos los habitantes de la Tierra, para que se activen en el "Día de las Maravillas" del Mesías.
