El 10 de Mayo de 1940 las tropas alemanas invaden Holanda. Los servicios de inteligencia británica ponen entonces en marcha una gran operación de carácter suicida: tres agentes británicos deberán llegar a Ámsterdam para recuperar la mayor cantidad posible de diamantes industriales antes de que la inteligencia alemana se apodere de ellos.
