Halo: Nightfall cuenta la dramática historia del legendario cazador de hombres y el oficial de inteligencia naval Jameson Locke y su equipo, ya que se encuentran atrapados en un horrible ataque biológico mientras investigan la actividad terrorista en la colonia lejana mundo de sedra. A medida que desenredan un complot que los atrae a un antiguo artefacto infernal, se verán obligados a luchar por su supervivencia, cuestionarse todo y, finalmente, elegir entre su lealtad y sus vidas.
