Vista general

La célebre detective aficionada Miss Marple vive en una pequeña y apacible aldea inglesa. La llegada de un equipo de rodaje de Hollywood altera la paz del lugar. El rodaje de una película sobre María Estuardo es fuente de continuos conflictos debido a la rivalidad entre las dos actrices protagonistas: Marine Rudd y Lola Brewster. En una recepción de gala se comete un asesinato. De la investigación se ocupa un sobrino de Miss Marple que es inspector de Scotland Yard, pero se muestra incapaz de resolver el caso. Por fortuna, tiene una tía extremadamente perspicaz.
