Checkpoint intenta desvelar el significado que tienen, dentro del enfrentamiento palestino-israelí, los controles policiales que deben atravesar a diario miles de palestinos que habitan en la franja de Gaza para ir a trabajar, al médico o a visitar a su familia. Yoav Shamir vuelca en su documental las más diversas situaciones que filmó en estos puestos militares entre 2001 y 2003. Premiado en algunos festivales.
