Vista general

Rainbow Rudolph (Williams), cómico para niños, es despedido de su programa de televisión debido a su creciente alcoholismo y a aceptar sobornos de los padres para incluir a sus hijos en el programa. Es reemplazado por Smoochy, un rinoceronte rojo interpretado por Sheldon Mopes (Norton). Su ira le hace planear una forma de matar al aburrido sustituto para que le devuelvan su puesto. Mientras, Smoochy cosecha una gran popularidad entre los niños.
