El 17 de abril de 2019 Lyra McKee fue asesinada en la ciudad de Derry (Irlanda) por el nuevo IRA. Tenía sólo 29 años. Lyra era una celebrada periodista de investigación y activista LGTBIQ+ norirlandesa que tuvo el valor de hacer las preguntas incómodas que nadie en su país parecía querer hacer. Ek documental explora la vida de Lyra y su trágica muerte haciendo hincapié en su brillante carrera periodística, sus valores humanos y su profundo amor hacia Irlanda.
